FINAL REPORT

THE LABYRINTH

© Guttorm Guttormsgaard/BONO 2000

The Labyrinth is the central piece of art at the university campus in Tromsø. It is situated in the main open space at the university, and it was created by the artist Guttorm Guttormsgaard during the years 1989 to 1991.

We have kindly been allowed to use the Labyrinth as the symbol for Higher Education for Peace, and we feel that its symbolic contents may help us to express our ideas and thoughts at this moment of time. As you may see in the pictures (links) below, this mark is something real, a place where you may go, a place for thinking and contemplation, as well as a place full of life used for gathering, discussion and for games. We hope that we will be able to live up to the ideas of the Labyrinth in our work.
